Hand Spinning Course - Absolute Beginners

This introduction to spinning is perfect for anyone wanting to have a go and learn a bit about the craft. Spend the day spinning your own skein of yarn to take home whilst learning the background and process from sheep to shoulder. You will be using an Ashford Traditional spinning wheel and there will be demonstrations on using various equipment such as carders, niddy noddys and ball winders. It's such a wonderful hobby and especially with todays emphasis on sustainability and self sufficiency, it's an invaluable skill.

You will receive a free goody bag that includes fleece of your choice to spin with that day and a few surprise extras! There is also information and handouts from the day.

There are limited spaces available so secure your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Courses are run on the first Sunday of each month 9.30 am - 3.30 pm in our rural location of North Dorset. All equipment and fleece is provided including freebies and refreshments, all you need is lunch!
